Father’s Day is Sunday, June 19th. Are you ready to spoil the dad or father figure in your life? Treat them to a special day at SomaSou. SomaSou offers a variety of treatment options specifically geared toward men. Keep reading to find fun gift options to spoil dad this Father’s Day.

The SomaSou Way

SomaSou offers a male-focused approach to popular aesthetic enhancements. Our professional providers are trained to understand the anatomy of facial muscles in men, as well as the differences in male anatomy. We offer popular aesthetic enhancements geared toward men, including Botox, dermal fillers, and non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments. Our team at SomaSou is here to guide you and create a plan to have dad looking refreshed, while still maintaining a masculine look. Here are some popular male-focused treatment options to consider for Father’s Day:

How to Build Muscle

Help eliminate “dad bod” with SomaSou’s treatments to build muscle. If dad doesn’t have time to hit the gym every day or he’s not had any luck achieving his desired results, then we recommend EmSculpt Neo treatments. This revolutionary treatment helps reduce visceral fat and build muscle tone. We can help dad sculpt his abdomen, buttocks, arms, and legs just in time for summer. In just four 30-minute sessions over the course of a month, dad will start seeing results. This innovative treatment will have dad looking and feeling his best in no time!

How to Burn Fat

Is dad dealing with stubborn belly fat that he can’t seem to get rid of? EmSculpt Neo can help with this issue, too! At SomaSou, we take a targeted approach when it comes to fat loss. After only four sessions, we can help dad reduce fat in a targeted section by 30% on average. Our EmSculpt Neo treatment reaches the visceral fat that is under the muscle, which can make your belly area seem large. Specifically, this is not the belly fat that you can grab in your hand, but it’s the kind you can see in the mirror. Purchase a treatment for dad and we can help start targeting the fat in his arms, legs, or the flanks on his back.

How to Reduce Excessive Sweating

Does dad suffer from excessive sweating, even when it’s not hot outside?  This is a common condition called hyperhidrosis, which simply means his body’s standard self-cooling mechanism is overactive. Localized Botox injections can help relax these overactive sweat glands and get dad’s sweat levels down to normal in as early as 2-4 days after treatments.

Facials

Facials are not just for mom anymore. Treat dad to a relaxing and calming facial treatment at SomaSou. We offer 30-minute or 60-minute facials that can visibly improve the luminosity, skin tone, and texture of dad’s skin. Help dad calm his skin after his golf game or pool time, so he can feel refreshed in no time.

Get Ring Ready for a Summer Wedding

Summer Wedding

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. It’s also a day where you as the bride are the center of attention. Between professional photography and lots of selfies with friends and family, you want to be looking and feeling your best for your big day! If you have a summer wedding planned, then spring is the best time to start getting “ring ready” to say I Do. We’ve rounded up a few helpful tips and considerations before your summer wedding.

Create a Timeline

When it comes to getting married, planning is everything- even with your skin. Don’t forget to include pampering your skin and body before the big day in your wedding timeline. We recommend meeting with an esthetician early to start planning out a reasonable timeline before your wedding. A professional can help create a customized treatment plan to have you looking and feeling your best in no time.

Schedule Regular Facials

It’s important to keep your skin clean and fresh in the months leading up to your wedding. That’s why we recommend scheduling regular facials to prevent breakouts or imperfections on your skin. Scheduling a facial early can help you pinpoint areas of concern or how your skin may react to certain products.

Adopt a Skincare Routine

If you haven’t already, now is definitely the time to adopt a skincare routine and stick with it. Getting your skin acclimated to a routine will help ease unwanted breakouts before your big day.

Fat Burning

Non-surgical fat reduction is a painless technology that can create incredible results. If you are worried about stubborn fat areas showing on your wedding day, consider trying our EmSculpt Neo fat burning technique. In as little as four sessions, once per week, you will start seeing a reduction in stubborn visceral fat. You can use this fat-burning treatment on your arms, legs, buttocks, abdomen, and even your back.

Get Fillers and Botox

Add fullness to your face, lips, and hands before your big day with Dermal Fillers. Fillers will help replace volume loss, treat wrinkles, and help contour and define your profile. Results are immediate and last 3-6 months, plus there’s little to no downtime with this treatment. We also recommend botox between your brows, the edges of your eyes, nose, and forehead. Ideally, you’ll want to start at least six months ahead of your wedding date in order to have time for the injections to settle and not have swelling or bruising in the treated areas.

Zap Away Unwanted Hair

Going on a honeymoon? Don’t mess with unwanted hair. Our laser hair treatments are safe for all skin types, effective, and best of all, pain-free. Enjoy smoother-looking skin after just six treatments with no downtime.

Skin Conditions Often Mistaken for Acne

skin conditions

Are you experiencing acne? It may surprise you to learn that there are a number of common skin conditions that are regularly confused with acne. Keep reading to learn more about potential skin conditions that appear as acne, but can be something entirely different.

Rosacea

Rosacea is one of the most common skin conditions that’s regularly mistaken for acne. This widespread facial disorder affects nearly 16 million Americans every year. The main symptoms of rosacea include flushing, blushing, permanent skin redness, bloodshot eyes, and more. One of the main reasons rosacea can be confused with acne is that some types of the disorder manifest as small papules or pustules filled around the face. These can be filled with pus and appear like acne bumps. One way to differentiate rosacea from acne is that rosacea bumps are usually centrally located on the face. The spots associated with rosacea are also more likely to be small, red, and relatively painless. While there is no known cause for rosacea, there are treatment options available, including topical and anti-inflammatory treatments. Some acne treatments may improve rosacea, but it is a stubborn skin condition that will usually return.

Perioral Dermatitis

If you are seeing a red rash appear around your mouth, you may be experiencing a type of dermatitis called perioral dermatitis. Perioral Dermatitis can often be mistaken for acne because it can produce some pustules that resemble breakouts. The spots associated with perioral dermatitis are usually small, dry, itchy and located around the mouth. Your skin may be scaly and flaky with inflamed bumps that can itch or burn. Rarely, the rash can spread to your nose or eye area. If you breakdown the word perioral, “peri” means “around” and of course “oral” means “mouth.” The word itself literally means “around the mouth.” Toothpaste is often the main culprit of perioral dermatitis. Treatments can include the use of a barrier cream prior to brushing your teeth that can help improve symptoms.

Melassezia Follicultitis

Often called “Fungal Acne,” this is usually misdiagnosed as acne. Instead, this facial condition is caused by an overgrowth of yeast on the face, which naturally occurs on all skin. This condition is very common among men who live in hot and humid climates. You will notice that this Rosacea is different from acne because it is often concentrated on the chin and sides of the face, rather than the center of the face.

If you are experiencing acne symptoms, be sure to have a skincare professional examine and properly diagnose your condition. You may actually be experiencing one of the skin conditions above instead of acne.
