As an eye care provider in the Alexandria area for the last 25 years, Dr. Adamopoulos grew and established her primary practice in the Del Ray area. Over time, she and her team built strong community roots. They helped enrich the community by providing professional and compassionate care. Listening to her patients has always been her strong trait. Her patients’ overwhelming theme was the need to deliver medically based aesthetic care with treatments that have clinical backing and offer the best outcomes. Sticking with her Greek roots, she created SomaSou, which means “your body” in Greek.
It provides a place to allow patients to continue their journey to rebuilding vitality, strength, and confidence. At SomaSou, she created a warm and inclusive atmosphere where experienced healthcare providers will offer the best options for your skin, body, and weight concerns.
Dr. Aneel Ursani
Medical Director
Dr. Aneel Ursani is a board-certified psychiatrist, healthcare executive, and entrepreneur passionate about helping people look and feel their best—inside and out. With his extensive clinical experience, Dr. Ursani brings a unique, holistic approach to wellness that blends mental health expertise with cutting-edge solutions in weight loss, aesthetics, and preventative care.
He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Cell Biology and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, completed medical school at St. George’s University, and trained in psychiatry at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is currently earning his Executive MBA at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
Dr. Ursani has held leadership roles at several national mental health companies and has advised numerous health tech startups. He specializes in evidence-based care, especially for high-risk and treatment-resistant populations, and has developed clinical programs focused on sustainable weight management, metabolic health, and overall well-being. At the med spa, he integrates science, beauty, and behavioral change to help clients achieve lasting results.
Melissa, RN
Licensed Nurse Injector
Our cosmetic nurse injector, Melissa, specializes in neuro-modulator treatments, dermal fillers, and biostimulators, such as Sculptra. Melissa is an experienced aesthetician and former make-up artist. She has an eye for aesthetic enhancement. Her treatments focus on thorough assessment and planning to preserve and enhance clients’ natural beauty. She stays current in cosmetic practice through continuing education opportunities and attending advanced training throughout the year. Melissa is currently pursuing her Master’s in Nursing. Outside of SomaSou, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Her favorite pastimes are attending her daughter’s dance performances, walking her dog, and staying active. A little-known fact about Melissa is that she loves roller-skating.
Jordan
Master Esthetician, Certified Laser Technician
Jordan is a licensed master esthetician and certified laser technician licensed in Virginia and Washington, DC. Her absolute favorite treatments are chemical peels, microneedling, and dermaplane facials. When she’s not working at SomaSou, she loves cooking, baking, playing tennis, and trying the latest restaurant on Tom Sietsma’s list.
Dani
Esthetician, Certified Laser Technician
Dani has been a licensed aesthetician since 2013. She is laser certified, specializing in tattoo removal, laser facials, microneedling, and product knowledge. She struggled with her own skin conditions and has taken an interest in finding innovative solutions for various skin conditions. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling and amazing food.
